Steve Harris
Steve, a highly respected Master Plumber, is now at the reins of his father Ray’s plumbing services company “Harris Plumbing Inc.” that began its story in 1974 in Richmond Hill when Steve was just three years old.
Since becoming our fearless leader, Steve has guided Harris Plumbing through extensive technical and product training for the technicians, customer service excellence training for everyone, and ongoing weekly “How Can We Be Even Better” training. We’ve grown to 22 employees and we are very proudly serving Newmarket, Aurora, Richmond Hill in York Region; Barrie, Orillia, Midland/Penetang, and all of Simcoe County plus Huntsville, Bracebridge and all of beautiful Muskoka.
Steve stands behind the Harris family solid family values when he leads by example and demonstrates integrity, honesty, truthfulness and a real passion for exemplary customer service – anything less is simply not acceptable.
Paddy Wright
Paddy started with Steve back in early 2010 when Harris Plumbing North consisted of just two people in the office (Paddy & Steve) and 5 hardworking plumbers. With her extensive background in Sales, Marketing and Business Development from Bell Canada, when it was time to expand and hire more office staff, Paddy moved easily into her new position of Office Manager.
Among many other functions, she is making sure that our customers can find Harris Plumbing’s phone numbers and website everywhere easily, they know about our plethora of professional products and expert services we provide and she works with new vendors to make sure we’re getting the best products for the best price, so that we can be the best that we can be – for you and your home and business.
Ray Harris
Founder/Retired
Ray began his plumbing career in 1958. He honed his talents on major projects like the new Toronto City Hall, Labatt Breweries (plumbing for beer), Rowntree (plumbing for caramel!, De Havilland and finally as Site Super and Lead Estimator for Bennett & Wright Mechanical. He started Harris Plumbing in 1974 in Richmond Hill after a slow-down in the economy. He eventually landed all the plumbing work for Hanover Kitchens in Toronto and York Region with his high quality workmanship and dedicated work ethic.
His oldest son Steve joined him in 1979, then middle son Rick in 1985 and youngest Greg in 1983 where they all became highly skilled Journeymen Plumbers under Ray’s tutelage.
When Ray decided to retire in 2013, Steve, who now owned Harris Plumbing in Simcoe County and Muskoka, took over the reins in York Region and it all became what is now Harris Plumbing Inc. with 12 talented plumbers and apprentices and a very efficient office support staff.
Alex Cefis
Alex has been our Finance Manager at Harris Plumbing since 2013. An MBA, he keeps the financial wheels rolling smoothly. That is when he hasn’t had too much coffee!
Lily
Lily Harris is our 11 year old “VP of Shenanigans” and her primary function is to keep all couriers on their toes daily. She gratefully accepts all tips including but not limited to liver treats, chicken sandwich bits and of course cookies. She is our official greeter and company publicist. She complains about the long hours and whines about infrequent raises but has no notion of retirement yet.
